SAN ANTONIO — A 45-year-old man was killed Friday morning in a head-on crash after losing control of his Porsche on the North Side near The Rim.
The man had been heading north on Vance Jackson Road near Rim Pass when he crossed into oncoming lanes around 9 a.m., police said.
As the driver approached the intersection at a high rate of speed, he barreled head on into a mini-van, detectives said. The driver of the Porsche died at the scene.
The driver of the van was transported to an area hospital. His condition is not immediately available.
Vance Jackson was shut down for more than two hours from Loop 1604 to Rim Pass, preventing drivers from exiting Vance Jackson from the highway.
