DEER PARK – One person was left dead and another injured in a single car crash on Thursday, October 29.
The crash occurred close to 10:15pm on Highway 225 near Center. For reasons unknown, the driver hit the median and rode the barrier until the vehicle smashed into a light pole.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. His 17-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition.
Police at the scene weren’t able to immediately determine why the man crashed. An investigation is ongoing.
