HOUSTON – A three-vehicle collision on Westpark Drive left one person dead and three others injured on Sunday, October 4.
Around 7:30pm, two vehicles – a white Chevy Impala and a white Dodge pickup truck – were heading towards a green light on 14th Street near West Loop.
A Toyota Yaris, driven by a female with a female passenger, ran the red light at Westpark. As a result, the Impala struck the Yaris, causing the Toyota to spin and subsequently be hit by the approaching Dodge truck, causing the Yaris to flip over.
The passenger in the Yaris was killed. The driver of the Impala, driver of the Dodge, and driver of the Yaris were all taken to a local hospital to treat non life-threatening injuries. The severity of the injuries remains unknown.
It’s unknown if alcohol was a factor in the crash, and an investigation is currently on-going.
