HOUSTON – Taurean Branford died after hitting a cow on his motorcycle on Sunday, October 11.
Taurean Branford was a Houston police offer with HPD’s vehicular crimes division. Around 1:30am, Branford struck a cow that had walked onto highway 99 at FM 529. The officer died at the scene.
Another driver wasn’t able to see the cow and also struck the animal, forcing the car into the middle barriers. That driver wasn’t injured, but the cow was killed.
