PLANO – Three-year-old Kendall Brink was killed in a head-on collision that injured two others on Thursday, November 5.
Around 8:30am, the driver of an Infiniti sedan switched lanes quickly to avoid a slow-moving car. However, the driver lost control of his vehicle, sending it into the median, which caused the Infiniti to become airborne. The sedan then crossed over the concrete barrier and landed into oncoming traffic.
The Infiniti was then struck by a Lexus SUV and a Hyundai sedan.
The passengers in the Infiniti – 28-year-old Anthony Brink and 3-year-old Kendall Brink – were taken to Medical Center Plano for serious injuries. Kendall later died from her injuries.
The driver of the SUV was also hospitalized, but the injuries sustained were not considered life-threatening. The driver of the Hyundai wasn’t injured.
An investigation is ongoing, and slick roads are considered a possible contributor to the crash.
